PARENTS & STUDENTS ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
1:10 PM ♦ Tips for Transcripts and Test Scores with Amy Sager from Cedarville University
A transcript, and maybe even test scores, will be necessary for whatever post-high school path your student chooses. It doesn’t have to be scary! In this session, we’ll break the transcript down into manageable sections, so you can present an excellent record of your student’s academic education.
2:10 PM ♦ Navigating Future Careers: The ASVAB/CEP Advantage for Homeschoolers with Natalie Mack, Homeschool Natalie Mack and Military Homeschoolers Association
Discover how the ASVAB Career Exploration Program (CEP) can help homeschoolers identify strengths, explore career paths, and make informed decisions about college, vocational training, or military service. Learn about test components, score interpretation, and strategies for success—all with no military obligation!
(AFHE member families can register their 10th-12th grade students to take the ASVAB on July 17! See more info below.)
3:10 PM ♦ Teaching Teens How to Prepare for Interviews with Julie Fritz from Fritz Speech
We work so hard to make sure our kids have a strong foundation in faith and academic skills, but we sometimes miss a critical area—interviewing! So much is coming up in teens’ lives: volunteer positions, jobs, scholarship applications, admissions meetings, etc. There are specific steps and practice that can be done ahead of time. This workshop will provide parents and teens with practical tools and strategies to prepare for future interviews.
