NATIONAL HOME EDUCATION RESEARCH INSTITUTE (NHERI)
NHERI's mission is to: Produce high-quality research on home-based education (homeschooling); Serve as a clearinghouse of research for the public, researchers, homeschoolers, the media, and policy makers; and Educate the public concerning the findings of all research on home education.
HOME SCHOOL LEGAL DEFENSE ASSOCIATION (HSLDA)
HSLDA is a nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms. Through annual memberships, HSLDA is tens of thousands of families united in service together, providing a strong voice when and where needed.
The Home School Foundation is the charitable arm of HSLDA and is dedicated to bringing hope and tangible help to homeschoolers in need. The Foundation is a 501c(3) charitable organization, approved by the ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability), and has a variety funds which provided
nearly 1 million dollars in assistance and related expenses to
homeschooling families last year.

HSLDA is here for you—from your first day of homeschooling right through graduation day! Homeschooling Through High School is a resource to aid and encourage parents who are teaching high school aged children. If you're thinking about it, already immersed, or nearing the finish line, there are resources and information available available to help you!
HOMESCHOOLING SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS
Homeschooling a special needs child is an individual decision, of course, but if you decide to homeschool such a child, HSLDA is here to help you be the best special education teacher you can be. Our finding is, that with the literature, teaching aids, and other resources now available, that any parent who desires to help their child learn can find that help, and eventually do a much better job with that child than any school could do.

NATIONAL BLACK HOME EDUCATORS (NBHE)
A premier networking organization founded by Eric and Joyce Burges, was created to serve the community by providing assistance with information about getting started in homeschooling, networking/connecting veteran families with new families, recommending resources such as books, music, films, speaking information, curriculum, etc. NBHE’s mission endeavors to empower parents to educate their children for excellence.
